  • What is a Vehicle Wrap?

A “wrap” is the newest and most innovative thing to hit the advertising world in years! Think of a wrap as a full-color mobile billboard.

  • How can I justify the cost of a Vehicle Wrap?

Numerous studies indicate that Wraps are, dollar for dollar, the single best form of advertising available today. Wraps are unique, innovative, attention-getting, and cost less than all traditional forms of advertising.

  • How Long will my Vehicle Wrap Last?

That depends on the application. Typical vehicle wraps are good for 3+ years.

  • Will a Vehicle Wrap Damage my Paint?

No, the wrap will actually protect your paint from minor scratches and UV exposure.

  • What's Involved In a Vehicle Wrap?

All wraps involve three phases. First, we will get the appropriate measurements, and do a design per your specifications. Second, the graphics will be printed and laminated to protect from abrasion and UV rays. Third, the wrap will be installed on your vehicle.

  • How Long will it Take to Wrap my Vehicle?

This depends on the job. A vehicle, for example, can be wrapped in 2 days or less. Always make sure to ask our project coordinator about the time line as each project is different.

  • How do I Take Care of my Vehicle Wrap?

Hand washing is the best way to wash a wrapped vehicle, using a soft, non-abrasive cloth and alcohol-free cleaners. Rinse it thoroughly with water and let it air dry. Any stubborn residue can be removed safely with mineral spirits. Commercial, touch-free washes can be used occasionally, but skip the heated dryer. Pressure washers should never be used, as they can cause the material to lift and peel. Using a soft hand glaze several times a year will help your wrap look new for years to come. Vehicle Wrap FAQ

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO WRAP MY VEHICLE?

The majority of the time spent is on the development of the vehicle graphics design concept. The length of this depends directly on how much direction and input you provide as well as your response time. However, we can have concepts to you in just a couple of days. After the graphic stage is finalized, we enter production. This takes a few days. We print and let the media used dry. We then laminate followed by cutting. Then we move to the final stage; installation. This will take between 1 & 3 business days depending on graphic size, vehicle type and, of course, scheduling.

  • CAN A VEHICLE WRAP BE REMOVED?

Absolutely. The wrap is actually applied to the vehicle using heat and pressure-sensitive adhesives that can be reactivated and removed by our installers. The removal process is short and does not damage the vehicle.

  • HOW LONG DOES A VEHICLE WRAP LAST?

Normally, a wrap can stay between 4 to 6 years on the vehicle depending on conditions, care and overall treatment. At The Detail Spa, we use the very best products available in the car wrap industry. Each component is backed with a proven warrantee. Vinyls have 5 – 6 year manufacturer warrantees while our solvent inks have a range of 3 – 7 years. We also use lamination that acts as a protective film against many abrasive cleaning applications and protects the print from minor scratches and regular wear-and-tear.

  • CAN I PRESSURE WASH MY VEHICLE AFTER THE VINYL IS INSTALLED?

We highly recommend NOT to pressure wash the vehicle after installation of the vinyl. Some pressure washers can potentially lift up the vinyl because of improper use of the water pressure. The wrap is an investment to your marketing and advertising strategy and thus it should be protected.

  • HOW DO I CARE FOR MY WRAPPED VEHICLE?

Hand washing is best. Avoid high pressure washes and, not that it matters in Southwest Florida, but if you head north, be careful never to use an ice-scraper. Sweeping off windows with a soft broom and rear defroster will cause no damage to your window graphics.

  • CAN I TAKE MY WRAPPED VEHICLE THROUGH A CAR WASH?

Yes. You can wash it just like you did before it was wrapped, but it is not recommended that you use wax. We recommend brushless car washes.

  • DO I HAVE TO WASH MY CAR BEFORE GETTING IT WRAPPED?

Yes. All vehicles have to be free of dust, mud, pollen, and other agents that may slow down the installation process.
